APPG on Youth Affairs AGM & Report Launch
The APPG on Youth Affairs will hold its AGM on Thursday 20th May at 4 PM in order to approve the accounts and elect officers.
This event is closed and open to Members of Parliament and Peers, as well as their staff, only. If you wish to send a Member of Staff to act in your capacity, please email appgonyouthaffairs@ymca.org.uk with their details so that they will be admitted to the virtual AGM in a timely manner.
The AGM will be followed at 4:15 PM by the launch of the APPG on Youth Affairs’ latest report, which considers the economic impact of COVID-19 on young people. This part of the meeting is open to the public.
Over the past year, the APPG for Youth Affairs has been hearing evidence on the impact of COVID-19 on young people, how Government interventions have alleviated pressures, in what places obstacles still remain, and what opportunities there are to build on successful interventions and schemes.
As the country moves out of lockdown, understanding the employability and financial health of young people will be ever more important for the future prosperity of the country. As young people leave education and enter the workforce, availability of jobs, as well as ensuring that new to workforce employees have the skills necessary to succeed in the world of work will be crucial to building a strong and resilient economy.
If you would like to attend the AGM or the report launch, please contact appgonyouthaffairs@ymca.org.uk for joining instructions or consult the All-Party Notices.
